We regret that we can't review any submissions that fail to follow these guidelines.

Shamrock seeks: haiku, senryu and haibun. We will consider haiku-related essays for our thematic issues. On rare occasions, very short (less than ten) single author haiku or senryu sequences will be considered.
What NOT to Submit
Shamrock does not consider for publication: tanka, renga/renku or any other linked forms.
We do not review unsolicited haiku collections or chapbook manuscripts, so please inquire before sending us review copies.
How to submit
Please send haiku/senryu submissions to

Please include your submission in the body of the email; we DO NOT open attachments for safety reasons.
On all submissions, please include a short biographical note.
Haiku/senryu: Shamrock will consider haiku/senryu of any school written in English.
We do not regard the 5-7-5 haiku model as essential. To get an idea of what is fit for Shamrock, please visit our Haiku Guidelines page

Please send 3 to 12 haiku/senryu or one haibun at a time for consideration. All haiku/senryu/haibun must be unpublished original work of the author. We do accept translations if the name of the translator is included. We occasionally assist in editing the English translations of selected haiku/senryu. We do not accept work that is under consideration elsewhere, or has appeared in chapbooks, magazines, e-zines, websites, blogs, discussion boards, festival programs, leafltes, etc. Double submission of work to Shamrock and to another magazine, or a contest, is not allowed.
Please do not submit your material more than twice during a year.
We normally don't publish more than 5 poems per poet per issue except in cases of a linked poem or a sequence.
Shamrock is a quarterly web journal. Submissions are accepted at any time but please note that we mostly do thematic issues, so publication of any accepted material may be delayed.
If your work is included in Shamrock, please credit the journal as Shamrock or Shamrock Haiku Journal. Thank you in advance.
